Our GTPs are designed to provide meaningful, challenging work experience through exposure to a variety of ABB operations.
Trainees will learn functional aspects of finance and business control as well as general business management skills and have the possibility to actively contribute to the planning of their own personal program to best suit their individual interests and development requirements.
In addition to on-the-job learning the program is accompanied by further training in the areas of personal development, intercultural awareness, technology and ABB specific culture & business requirements.

The GTP for Finance & Business Control lasts between 18-24 months and comprises three different assignments.
1. Assignment: Home Country (6 months)
You will start your first assignment in your country of origin or current residence, where you will gain experience in the areas of Operational Controlling, ABB’s Accounting & Reporting Systems and Front-end Business.

2. Assignment: ABB Headquarters (6 months)
The second assignment will take you to ABB’s Corporate Headquarters offices in Zurich, Switzerland. You will be able to choose your assignment from a variety of options such as supporting one of our financial Group Functions, the Group Treasury department, one of our Divisions or Business Areas. This second assignment will give you additional insight into the area of Strategic Controlling and Central Finance Functions.

3. Assignment: Global Exposure (6-12 months)
Your third and final assignment of the program will be an international assignment. You are expected to be actively involved in the organization of this assignment with a good choice in particular responsibilities and/or destinations. The final assignment may last up to 12 months and will be a more challenging project assignment.
We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate the following qualities:
a.Recent university graduates with above-average degrees in Finance, accounting, or related majors (MSc studies preferred)
b.Mature, professional personality with realistic goals and good communication skills
c.Fluency in English (additional languages a plus)
d.Flexible team player
e.Global mindset, social and intercultural competency

About the Program:
The GTP for Information Systems is a trainee program of 18-24 months which allows insight into the areas of IS Service delivery, IS Architecture and IS Sourcing. Because of its global nature this trainee program allows you to work in 3 different countries, experience diverse work cultures and job assignments.
The first 6 months are spent in China. Thereafter, you will either move to the ABB's global headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland or one of our regional holding offices or for another 6 months. During the second stage you can expect to gain an overview of ABB's operations and work on a more strategic level. Finally, the third assignment will bring you to yet another country to gain further international experience and increase your responsibility. After successful completion of the program, you will have the opportunity to take on a permanent position in one of our local units.
We are looking for highly motivated, assertive individuals who are interested in working for our dynamic, global company. Specifically, we are looking for individuals who can demonstrate the following qualities:
a.Recent university graduates with above average degrees in Computing, Computer science, Information Systems/IT or related majors (MSc or equivalent preferred)
b.Excellent language skills (fluency in English required, additional languages a plus)
c.Mature, professional personality with realistic goals
d.Flexible team player with good communication skills
